Missions

From everywhere to everywhere.
We support missionaries within our local community and all across the world. With your support and the faithful service of these men, women and families below, individuals are meeting Jesus and responding to the gospel on a daily basis.
Jason and Angie Bechtel
In order to see a thriving church established for every people, Jason works with a team to shape what people across Canada read, hear, touch and click from Ethnos Canada. This includes magazines, newsletters, websites and email updates. Angie is on the oversight team for the K-12 school at Ethnos Canada.

David and Debra Rodges
After serving in Papua New Guinea for 25 years, Dave and Deb returned to Canada in 2017. In 2016 Ethnos and Northern Canada Evangelical Mission began to work together to reach Northern Canada’s unreached people groups and formed FirstStory. Upon arriving back in Canada, Dave and Deb were approached to help oversee the development of this new mission effort. Dave serves as the Planning Director for FirstStory to establish thriving churches among the Indigenous people of Canada. As this is a new outreach there is much work to complete and preparations to be made ahead of the families that will be coming to work with FirstStory.

Tim and Kathy Whatley
Tim and Kathy served in Indonesia for 12 years. During that time they were involved in opening up the Island of West Papua for NTM, and then made contact and served in the Moi Tribe. In 2010 Tim was asked to return to Canada and serve as the Executive Director for what is now called Ethnos Canada, which is still his primary responsibility. This has included opening our outreach to the First Nations of Canada (FirstStory), serving alongside of our team in Mongolia, and on our International Leadership Team. Kathy serves alongside of Tim with a welcoming home for guests, much of his travel, and encouraging our ladies. Kathy also teaches the Medical Class in our Training Program.
